Overview

The Milwaukee 3693-24CX M18 4-Tool Combo Kit is a cordless combo kit built around four core jobsite tools: a 1/2 inch hammer drill/driver, a 1/4 inch hex 3-speed impact driver, a 7-1/4 inch circular saw, and a HACKZALL reciprocating saw. This is a 4-tool cordless combo kit designed for drilling, fastening, wood cutting, and general jobsite tear-out. Model Number: 3693-24CX. If you are buying into the M18 platform or replacing older brushed tools, this kit gives you the basics in one box without making you chase down batteries and a charger separately.

The biggest selling point here is balance. Milwaukee kept the hammer drill at 5.8 inches long and the impact driver at 4.4 inches long, so the two tools you reach for most are easier to handle in tight spots. The hammer drill runs at 0-550 and 0-1,700 RPM for drilling and driving, while the impact driver reaches 0-3,600 RPM and delivers 1,700 in-lbs of peak torque. In plain terms, that means the drill covers general-purpose drilling and anchor work, while the impact driver handles screws and lag fasteners faster with less wrist fight.

The saw side of the kit is what makes this more than a basic starter set. The brushless 7-1/4 inch circular saw gives you a full-size blade and a listed 2-1/2 inch cut depth, which is what most users want for framing lumber, sheet goods, and common jobsite cuts. The HACKZALL adds one-handed reciprocating saw capability with 0-3,000 strokes per minute and a 3/4 inch stroke length, so you can move from rough carpentry to cutting pipe, metal, or PVC without changing platforms.

Milwaukee built this kit around brushless motors and REDLINK intelligence. That matters because the system is designed to manage how the M18 REDLITHIUM batteries and tools work together under load. On the job, that translates to better efficiency, steadier performance, and less of that feeling where a tool starts to fall off hard once the work gets tougher. Milwaukee also calls out improved runtime on the circular saw compared to brushed models, which is exactly where brushless efficiency pays off.

From a practical standpoint, this kit is easy to live with. You get two batteries, including an XC 4.0 pack for longer runtime and a CP 2.0 pack for lighter weight on the drill and impact driver. The included M18 and M12 multi-voltage charger is useful if you already own compact Milwaukee tools on the M12 line, and the contractor bag keeps the whole setup together for transport between jobs, trucks, and punch-list work.

System compatibility is another reason this kit matters. It runs on the Milwaukee M18 battery platform and is listed as compatible with 250+ M18 solutions. That gives the kit room to grow. You can start with these four tools, then add bare tools later without changing batteries, chargers, or workflow. For a contractor, that means lower platform friction. For a serious DIY user, that means fewer dead-end purchases.

Who should buy it? This combo kit makes the most sense for remodelers, general contractors, electricians, maintenance crews, punch-list techs, and homeowners who want real cordless power tools instead of light-duty homeowner kits. If you need a broad-use impact driver, hammer drill, circular saw, and reciprocating saw in one M18 setup, this is the kind of kit that handles everyday work without wasting money on filler tools you will not use.

Pro Tip

Run the XC 4.0 battery on the circular saw or HACKZALL when you need runtime, then keep the CP 2.0 on the drill or impact driver when you want the lightest setup in tight spaces. That gives each tool the battery style that makes the most sense instead of treating both packs the same.

Tool Nut’s Take

Tool Nut’s Take

Milwaukee 3693-24CX M18 4-Tool Combo Kit Is the Right Kind of Starter Kit

This is a smart buy for somebody who wants the core M18 tools they will actually use, not a padded kit full of extras that sit in the bag.

• Who it’s for: Contractors, remodelers, service techs, and serious DIY users who need one cordless combo kit for drilling, impact driving, circular saw work, and reciprocating cuts.
• Why it stands out: The compact drill and impact driver are the real draw here, but the full-size 7-1/4 inch circular saw and included HACKZALL make the kit far more useful than entry-level two-tool sets.
• Worth knowing: You get one XC 4.0 and one CP 2.0 battery, so the kit is ready to work, but heavy all-day saw use may still have you wanting another M18 pack down the road.
