PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONLoctite 36ml High Strength Red Threadlocker 277 (38656) offers a high-strength, permanent adhesive solution for locking and sealing large bolts and studs, typically M25 and larger in diameter. This red, methacrylate-based threadlocker cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, preventing loosening and leakage caused by shock, vibration, and extreme temperatures.KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS: High-Strength Locking: Provides exceptional holding power for large threaded fasteners. Heat and Vibration Resistance: Withstands a wide temperature range (-65F to 300F) and remains unaffected by shock and vibration. Corrosion Protection: Shields threads from rust and corrosion. Controlled Cure Time: Varies depending on the material, allowing for adjustments based on specific applications. Industrial Oil Tolerance: Exhibits slight contamination resistance to common industrial oils. Easy Inspection: Red color allows for visual confirmation of application, while fluorescent property enables verification under UV light. Military-Grade Adhesion: Meets MIL-SPEC S-46163A standards. Automotive Applications: Trusted choice in the automotive industry, specified by OEMs and used in professional racing.SPECIFICATIONS: Capacity: 36ml Type: Red, methacrylate-based Cure Time: Varies by material (steel: 30 min, brass: 25 min, stainless steel: 270 min) Temperature Range: -65F to 300FHOW TO USE: Clean and dry the threads. Apply Loctite 277 to the male threads, leaving a small gap from the head of the fastener. Assemble the parts and hand-tighten them. Allow the threadlocker to cure based on the material and application requirements. For most applications, a full cure is achieved within 24 hours at room temperature.BENEFITS OF USING LOCTITE 36ML HIGH STRENGTH RED THREADLOCKER 277: High-strength locking Wide temperature resistance Corrosion protection Controlled cure time Industrial oil tolerance Easy inspection Military-grade adhesion Trusted automotive applicationsFEATURES: High-strength, permanent adhesive Red color for visual confirmation Fluorescent property for UV verification Wide temperature range resistanceAPPLICATIONS:Loctite 277 is ideal for securing large bolts and studs in engines, transmissions, heavy machinery, and other industrial applications. Typical uses include frame brackets, suspension fasteners, shock absorber mounts, and wheel studs.
